Street vendors from around the city have embarked on a peaceful protest outside the offices of the Polokwane Municipality.
This comes after the municipality demolished shacks and illegal structures around the city as part of the implementation of by-laws with regards to street trading.
Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala previously told Review that this was done in order to alleviate crime in the city, and was only going to affect illegal structures and vendors without permits.
