Officials from the Mankweng and Seshego Pololokwane taxi associations met at the Department of Transport, Safety, Security and Liaison on Friday in an attempt to find solutions after conflict among members that recently led to the shooting of Mankweng Taxi Rank Manager, Ben Nonyana.
Frans Kgasago, Public Relation Officer of Mankweng Taxi Association informed that the two associations had agreed to work together on the R81.
“Finally we agreed that we will work together on the route; that is good news for our passengers who were conscious of their safety,” he said.
Seshego Pololokwane Taxi Association Spokesperson, Oki Ramaoka confirmed that they met with their fellow association to iron out differences and have asked the Department to verify the routes to avoid any further incidents.
