Stanfordians attend Round International Square conference in Singapore

Three Stanford Lake College (SLC) learners, Lethabo Mokone, Mabule Matjie and Rayhaan Tayob, educator Amy Taylor and Headmaster Craig Carolan attended the 2015 Round Square International Conference in Singapore recently.
The event was hosted by United World College of South-East Asia, which is situated across two campuses in Singapore. The theme ‘Act Today, Change Tomorrow’ focussed on the concept of sustainability and developed delegates’ understanding of this so that they could take meaningful, measurable action in their own schools.
SLC Marketer Rona Mcgaffin reported that the SLC group was lucky enough to interact with learners and staff from other Round Square Schools across the globe. “These learners have drawn up an ‘Action Plan’ which will be reviewed in six months and has focussed on ways in which SLC itself can work towards the concept of sustainability,” she stated.
