Help needed with Mountain Top to Waterfront Fun Walk/Run

This year marks the second anniversary of the Mountain Top to Waterfront Fun Walk/Run which is the brainchild of local disabled resident Jimmy Letsoalo.
On 27 December last year the first event was hosted at Clearwater Cove to Ebenezer Dam with 20 athletes participating. Even though only little interest was shown, the event was completed successfully and motivated Letsoalo to host the event for a second time this year.
“We have not yet determined a date for this year’s event. Because of bad timing last year we had only a few entries. We need help from athletic clubs or any other organisations to assist us in hosting a bigger event this year. We are planning on hosting it in November but experts’ advice in this field would be highly appreciated,” Letsoalo’s brother, Amos said. The event has a well-defined theme which promotes changing your lifestyle by eating more healthy foods and exercising to maintain a healthy body.
Letsoalo who, since a car accident 18 years ago, is confined to a wheelchair has been a permanent resident at Centenary House for 14 years.
During his birthday month of December he enjoys visiting Ebenezer Dam where he finds peace of mind and here the idea of the Mountain Top to Waterfront Fun Walk/Run was born. Letsoalo hopes for the fun walk/run to become an annual event for everybody with or without disabilities.
