The police in Polokwane have confirmed that the 80-year-old Jakkie Grobler was murdered at her home in a retirement village in the city yesterday morning.

With the brutal murder of local businesswoman Lizette Deacon and her mother Hettie still fresh in the minds of many residents, the shocking news of yet another suspected murder of an elderly woman at a local retirement complex came to light earlier this afternoon (Monday).
According to sources, the body of the woman was discovered this afternoon but it seems as if the suspected killing could have taken place approximately 12 hours ago.
Police are currently on the scene.
Provincial Police Communications Head Brig Motlafela Mojapelo could not yet confirm the incident but confirmed that he has received similar queries and will continue to follow up as the Polokwane Police Station has not yet received any report of such incident.
