Business chamber golf day attracts 56 players

The Polokwane Chamber of Business (PCOB) annual golf day was successfully hosted last Friday at the Polokwane Golf Club with 56 players competing for the big prize in the better ball Stableford.
“It was a successful event and we are happy with the number of players who entered. It was a joyous day and only received positive feedback from players as well as sponsors,” PCOB President Simphiwe Mdlalose said.
Raoul van Zyl and Mash Makena took the prize for nearest to the pin on the eighth and eleventh holes respectively. Makena also won the longest drive on the second hole while Henri Boshoff claimed the same prize on the seventh hole.
Attie Buitendag and Len Olley teamed up and took the win for the day with 49 points followed by David Hlabyago and Jonas Tshikundamalema with 46 points. Also with 46 points Zach Chuenyane and Thomas Mnguni took third place.
The PCOB golf day was followed by Meropa Casino & Entertainment World’s golf day on Saturday which saw Raymond Pratt and Hein Warmehoven taking the win in the better ball Stableford. Only one point behind them on 46, Charles Mdhuli and Thabo Shingange claimed second prize with Pat Molepo and Raymond Mushaiki in third.
