Black Leopards Football Club appointed former Botswana national team coach, David Bright as their new coach on Monday. Bright takes up the position vacated by Zeca Marques who left the club to join Santos a fortnight ago.
Spokesperson of the Club, Berry Ramunenyiwa said Bright, who has also coached Mogoditshane Fighters in Botswana, Santos and Bay United Football Club, signed a two year contract with the team. He joined the club on Monday and he will be formally introduced to the players next week. He is an experienced coach and that is why the board went for him. His mandate is to win the National Football Division,” Ramunenyiwa said.
Leopards’s opening match of the new season will be against Milano United at Thohoyandou Stadium on 22 August. “We are ready for the new season. We missed the Premier Soccer League spot last season. We need to start well so that we can achieve our goal of going to Premier Soccer League next season. The journey starts with Milano and we have to win the match,” Ramunenyiwa said.
