Parks Sebatjane and Sammy Selamolela are the two incumbents earmarked to take over as mayors of Mogalakwena and Blouberg Municipalities.
African National Congress (ANC) Provincial Secretary Nocks Seabi made the announcement during a press conference in Polokwane yesterday. He said processes were currently underway to confirm the two mayors in near future.
Seabi referred to problems in Mogalakwena being well documented and the leadership of the ANC in the province having decided to act in the best interests of the citizens within the municipal area by recalling the mayor, Tlhalefi Mashamaite. The decision had been reached after a series of consultative meetings with ANC structures in Mogalakwena.
Continued wrangles between the political management team and labour unions had been stifling service delivery in the Blouberg municipal area, Seabi told journalists. He said they required new energy and the changes were necessitated to speed up service delivery in the affected municipalities.
