UPDATE – Braving Everest, an adventure at -17°C

With temperatures on Everest plummeting to -17°C earlier today it seems to be tough going for Polokwane-based adventurer Sarel Nong and his fellow-climbers, who are facing another two arduous days ahead before reaching their target destination.
Nong and five more climbers, who include Mrs South Africa Nicole Capper, are expected to reach the point where they would leave behind seasoned mountaineer and adventurer Sibusiso Vilane as he proceeds to summit, this time without oxygen.
The latest news from Everest passed on by Nong is that all was fine with the group, save for one of the team members having suffered from altitude sickness earlier today but felt better.
