The third annual Limpopo Fashion Week, a project by Miss Limpopo Pageant rocked the parking lot of a local shopping mall on Friday night.
Up and coming designers were given the opportunity to showcase their designs, which were modeled by various emerging models.
The designers were Lesiba Makoela of Azmol Boutique, Jabu Mavuso of Empire, Khomotso Molebatsi of Emerald Stone, Moleo Magagane of Orange Juice, Naomi Mamakiri of Naomimamakirifashiondesigns, Gadi Magagane of Twii, Lehlogonolo Mashamaite of Something Posh, Meladi Montjane of Hayrick Fall and Matome Seshoka of Antherline.
Hlologelo Molokomme, creator and overseer of the event, said Limpopo Fashion Week, which focuses on promoting the fashion industry in Limpopo, is well on its way to being the biggest fashion and cultural event in the province.
The fashion show of Friday night was followed by a buyers’ lounge and wine tasting by Lux Prestige Wines on Saturday and Sunday.
“A huge thank you to all our sponsors and everyone else who worked so hard to make the Fashion Week such a success,” Molokomme said.
