The professional team at Aesthetico Medical Aesthetic Clinic is always striving to use the most cutting edge technology to deliver services par none. One of the innovations being used is the Dermapen.
The Dermapen is a revolutionary micro-needling device which aims to tighten, lift and rejuvenate skin. It can visibly improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks and pigmentation. The treatment is also great for surgical, acne and trauma scars.
Dermapen is a high speed vibrating device that uses multiple micro needles that pierce the skin, creating controlled damage on the surface of the skin with minimal pain.
The concept is based on the skin’s ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical trauma. When the needle tip makes contact with the skin, the needles create tiny puncture in the skin’s surface, causing micro-trauma, and inducing an immune response, and subsequently, the creation of new healthy collagen. The punctures also act as micro-channels that carry topical nutrients used during the treatment deep into skin layers for an increased effect.
Before the procedure starts, a topical anaesthetic or local block is applies to the skin to ensure a virtually painless experience.
Different skin problems require different treatments.
For rejuvenation Aesthetico recommends four to six treatments, while acne scars need six treatments scheduled six weeks apart.
Results are visible after the first treatment, but the skin will continue to improve over the next six to 12 months after a course of treatments.
Clients can expect facial redness for 12 to 48 hours after the treatment.
