Die jaarlikse interhoër atletiekbyeenkoms het Saterdag het by die Hoërskool Frans du Toit plaasgevind met twee plaaslike skole, die Hoërskool Pietersburg (PHS) en die Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naudé wat puik presteer het.
Die Hoërskool Merensky het met die louere weggestap.

In what may amount to gross negligence that endangers residents, a municipality appointed contractor of the electricity underground re-cabling project in Suid Street has made the nearby residents furious by not putting in place the necessary safety measures such as warning signs and tapes around the excavations.
