Streets in the vicinity of Jack Botes Hall, where the State of the Province Address (Sopa) is scheduled to be delivered by Premier Stan Mathabatha at 10:00 tomorrow (Friday), will be closed for motorists as from 19:00 today.
Acting Communications and Marketing Manager of Polokwane Municipality, Matshidiso Mothapo, said in a media release that the streets will be opened again tomorrow at 16:00. “The public and motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the proceedings of the ceremony and adhere to the traffic instructions given by peace officers,” Mothapo said and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Biccard, Hans van Rensburg, Schoeman, Landdros Maré and Kerk streets will be closed between Thabo Mbeki and Bodenstein streets and only residents and persons working in the areas will be allowed access.
