Idolizing bogus political leaders who are raping our freedom and democracy is seriously wrong. And if the same political leaders suffering from verbal diarrhea, self entitlement, racism, ego, targeting are being held in high esteem our country is in danger. It is disheartening to learn that people are being threatened because they have different political views. It doesn’t matter what position are you holding, either in government or the private sector, the actuality is that power mongers are using bully tactics to suppress those who disagree with them. Is this the democracy that South Africans have been waiting for? What about the fallen political female and male heroes who passed away for freedom and democracy? This week we celebrated Human Rights Day however I was disappointed to learn that there are still people who are attempting to rape our justice system. The very same people don’t even respect our Constitution because they think they are above the law. I am getting worried that our freedom and democracy is being raped several times by certain spurious political leaders hungry for power and money. To make matters worse, some veteran politicians are tight-lipped when war talk emerges in the country and infants in the political arena keep on inciting the war unnecessarily. What about political education and why are you keeping quiet when political infants are disrespecting our country? Legendary political icons, Steve Biko, Robert Sobukwe, Nelson Mandela, John Langalibalele Dube, Chris Hani, and Joe Slovo did not fight for political leaders who are cowards, power mongers and player haters. They fought for freedom and democracy. The new power mongers must desist from raping our democracy. I get worried when some youth formations continue to adore leaders who are spreading unprincipled virus in country. Abstain from giving a round of applause to leaders who are suffering from leadership syndrome. The country must put in place political leaders who are not going to subject the public to a banana clown republic. The youth must also elect leaders who represent them, not leaders who talk about who replaces who, while young people are facing unemployment, HIV and Aids amongst others challenges. Do not fear anybody. Remember you are the future and our Constitution will never betray you.
