SAPS communicator Moatshe Ngoepe collects accolade

A hard working and dedicated communicator who is always available and understands the deadlines that are faced by members of the media on a daily basis.
This is how Moatshe Ngoepe, section head of the media centre of the South African Police in the province is described by colleagues and friends. The media centre is one of the sections attached to Corporate Communication and Liaison.
Ngoepe received the award as Best Administration Employee on level 8 to 12 at the SAPS provincial prestige awards function that was hosted in the city on Friday evening.
Born at Taueatswala village near Steilloop, Ngoepe joined the Police service in 1985 and was promoted through the ranks until he became an officer in 1990 with the rank of Lieutenant. He was promoted to the rank of Colonel on 1 June 2018.
Ngoepe is a trained detective and communications practitioner and has successfully secured a number of life sentences on various crimes that he investigated during a ten year tenure as a detective.
Ngoepe understands how the administrative processes in the Police work and complimented by both his experience in uniform and in the field as a detective, he is an astute communicator who maintains an open door policy, ensuring that the image of the Police is always promoted. A colleague remarked that Ngoepe often performs tasks as if there is no tomorrow.
On receiving his new rank at a special function in Mookgophong earlier this year, Provincial Commissioner Nneke Ledwaba expressed his appreciation towards Ngoepe for his dedication and loyalty. “These new ranks should not make you think that you have arrived at your destination. You must instead be propelled to do more in serving the people of South Africa in general and Limpopo province in particular,” Ledwaba is quoted to have said to Ngoepeduring the occasion.
