Locals learn self defence

A number of residents interested in self-defence training attended the first session hosted by Yinyang Karate and Self Defence Studio in the city on Monday.
Attendees were coached by studio owner and sensei, Annatjie de Jager assisted by senpai Lientjie Badenhorst.
De Jager explained that a victim does not need to be strong to be able to surprise an attacker.
Simple moves can disarm the attacker or put him in a position that allows the victim to escape, De Jager explained.
Anyone interested in joining the self-defence training can contact De Jager on 072 860 0472.
