Local model requires funds to fulfill her Dubai dream

Local model, Refilwe Malatjie is in need of R50 000 for her and a guardian to travel to Dubai in order to represent the country at the Dubai Global Beauty Competition to be held in Sofitel, Dubai from 30 September to 04 October.
The Ster Park resident won the Miss Pre-Teen Face of Beauty South Africa and the right to represent South Africa in the competition which has the potential to guarantee Refilwe an opportunity to burst into global stardom if she translates her modelling experience into action against girls from different countries around the world and before experienced international judges.
The Grade 9 learner at PEPPS College has been in the modelling business since the age of nine. She explained that the Dubai Global Beauty Competition is set to benefit South Africa and Limpopo in particular simply because she was going to be an ambassador for the local diverse cultural heritage on an international stage.
Refilwe boasts titles such as Miss Galaxy International 2016 (Georgia), Miss Toddler and Tween Pre-teen 2016, Queen of the North 2016, Miss Polokwane Observer Teen 2017, Miss Toddler and Tween 1st Princess 2018, Face of Beauty Teen 2018 and Miss Hope Teen 2018. A win in Dubai will boost her career and provide a platform for her to help others. “I am passionate about ploughing back to fellow young girls from underprivileged backgrounds through campaigns to help them stay away from social ills such as drugs and teenage pregnancy amongst others.
Refilwe’s mother Sbongile stated that the overall cost of the trip was R40 100 and would cover flights, accommodation and excursions. “She will also need evening wear, a cultural outfit as well as a talent outfit for the finals. Any sponsorship towards her expenses will be greatly appreciated.”
Anyone who wants to help Refilwe to fulfil her dream can contact Sbongile on 076 4473 999.
