Karatekas battle it out in local competition

Several junior and senior karatekas of Henri Eksteen’s Fight Club participated in the The Battle in the Bush Part 14 – Eksteen Ryu Bushido Freestyle National All Styles Contact Karate Championships hosted at Eksteen’s dojo on Saturday.
According to Eksteen the event is held annually in memory of the late British Grandmaster, Ronnie Colwell who was known as the father of British karate. Eksteen has been serving as the South African Director for his organisation, known as World Kobukan Federation and Kizuna Brotherhood and founded by Colwell in 1969, for the past ten years.
Eksteen indicated that the competition was once again a huge success and participants who were awarded first place in their respective divisions will qualify for Eksteen Ryu Bushido Freestyle Karate National Colours.
