While some were queuing for a test drive, others proudly took ownership of the new Volkswagen Polo which was launched at Volkswagen Polokwane on Saturday.
Big smiles across the showroom floor characterised the event as new owners were welcomed to the Volkswagen family and others eagerly waited in a long queue to get behind the steering wheel.
The moment you set eyes on the new Polo you’ll see that every inch has been carefully considered to bring you a vehicle with charisma at every curve. From front to back, the new Polo features a masculine, arrow-shaped tornado line. This distinct new design line cuts a dash along the side of the car, from the indicators all the way to the rear lights. These structure the car’s side profile, forming a strong shoulder section that gives the new Polo a bolder presence than before. The chrome trim and dark red tail lights in the bumper underline its sporty and elegant appearance, accentuating the new Polo’s key characteristics.
The new Polo is available in Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. From the steering wheel to the completely redesigned dashboard ensure optimal line of sight for critical information; every inch of the new Polo’s interior has been designed to create a space that inspires and ignites the driver. The interior can also confidently expand with split folding rear seats, larger 350 litre boot and variable load floors that make the rear space flexible and practical.
True confidence comes from within and that is why the new Polo features Volkswagen’s new generation TSI engines with Start-Stop technology and regenerative braking. With improved power and torque output, the new Polo can achieve maximum torque even at low speeds, allowing the driver to go from 0 to confident in no time. In the Highline and GTI models, Eco Function comes standard, allowing the engine and gearbox to be optimised for a more economical drive.
The new Polo also offers a variety of technological advanced and safety features to keep the driver and passengers comfortable and safe whether it is for a drive around the block or a long roadtrip into the unknown.
Sales Manager at Volkswagen Polokwane, Percy Funchall said the day was a tremendous success and thanked the community for their support. “We are overwhelmed by the amount of positive feedback that we have received. Without our loyal clients, we would not have been able to achieve the successes that we have and we thank each and every person who contributed,” he said.
