Excellence yet again for Stanford Lake College

Congratulations to the Stanford Lake College (SLC) Matrics of 2018 and to all their teachers who guided them to the College’s most successful Independent Examinations Board (IEB) Matric results to date. They have achieved an excellent 100% pass rate with all students qualifying to study at tertiary institutions in 2019. 96% of our students have qualified for University exemption with the Matrics achieving a commendable 2,25 distinctions per student.
Special mention to the four students who achieved seven distinctions:
Muzzammil Cassim attained distinctions in Accounting, English Home Language, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Advanced Programme Mathematics.
Tanweer Ghood received distinctions for Afrikaans First Additional Language, Business Studies, English Home Language, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
Mathabo Malesa attained distinctions in Accounting, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Business Studies, English Home Language, Life Orientation, Mathematics and Advanced Programme Mathematics.
Christian Schmidt attained distinctions for Afrikaans First Additional Language, Information Technology, English Home Language, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematics.
Four students achieved six distinctions each:
Cailin Desmet received distinctions for Afrikaans First Additional Language, Information Technology, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematics.
Elané Maritz attained distinctions in Accounting, Afrikaans First Additional Language, English Home Language, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Mathematics.
Nsusku Muyimane received distinctions for Accounting, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Advanced Programme Mathematics.
Yazdaan Tayob attained distinctions in Accounting, English Home Language, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
There were six instances of SLC students achieving a result placing them in their top 1% in the IEB subject averages – Muzzammil Cassim (Accounting and Mathematics), Elané Maritz (Afrikaans and Life Orientation), Christian Schmidt (Afrikaans) and Anya Robinson (Afrikaans).
