Residents should get their running shoes ready and gear up for a day of great excitement and fun when Mitchell House hosts the first ever Color Run event to be held in Polokwane on 15 August.
“The happiest 5K on the planet is brighter, shinier and happier this year, as the previous extremely successful events have shown. The Color Run is bigger and better than ever and participants can be sure of an exciting event,” says Leon Swanepoel, Color Run South Africa Event Producer.
Referring to previous, hugely successful events in Port Elizabeth and Durban earlier, he said Color Runners can expect an event like nothing ever before with this year’s run, including a sprinkle of glitter and a few other surprises. Swanepoel explained that the Color Run is the single largest 5 km event series in the world that hosted more than 300 events in over 50 countries in 2014.
Registration for Polokwane is open for those who want to participate. Every runner will receive a R200 voucher from Takealot.com for the purchase of The Color Run powder and merchandise, as well as a R200 voucher from Superbalist to be redeemed against a minimum spend of R250.
Charity and school fundraising is also a big part of the Color Run and participants can register their school or charity on the Fun Raiser programme and R10 for every ticket sold under the unique Fun Raiser code will be donated to charity.
To buy tickets and for more information about The Color Run visit their website www.thecolorrun.co.za or their Facebook page. Ticket prices are R150 and R200 on the day. Manual entries are available at Sportsman’s Warehouse, Polokwane.
