While the situation in Seshego is still simmering with signs of protest, a suspect has been arrested earlier this afternoon (Thursday) in connection with alleged public violence following unrest that erupted early this morning.
According to Provincial Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe a man of around 30 years of age has been arrested less than two hours ago, with more arrests expected to be effected in due course. The suspect(s) would be due to appear in court on Monday, it was learnt.
Ngoepe indicated that during the course of the day reinforcements from Public Order Policing (Pops) Units elsewhere in the province had been added to the numbers on the scene and would be monitoring the situation until all was back to normal.
