Athletes display best techniques in track, field events


A total of 1 526 athletes representing 14 secondary schools in the Pietersburg circuit participated in the circuit’s athletics meeting at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday.
Circuit athletics secretary Andronicca Somo indicated that the athletes were aiming to secure a spot in a team that would represent the circuit at the Polokwane cluster competition scheduled for 9 February at the stadium. She further highlighted that 378 athletes participated in field events while 1 148 took part in track codes. Somo applauded all the athletes for doing their best and reckoned that the selected team would represent the circuit well at the cluster athletics meeting.
