The Rotary Club of Haenertsburg presents the Ebenezer Mile Swim, taking place at the Mountain Yacht Club at Ebenezer Dam, Magoesbaskloof on Sunday, 22 March.
With the competition growing in size and stature each year, competitors can look forward to a challenging event with lots of fun for spectators.
At almost 60% full and filling up fast after the recent rains, the dam’s clear, sparkling, bilharzia free mountain water is hard to resist.

Alpha Sand het behoor-lik oor die Pretoria-span geloop toe hulle geseëvier het met 29-0.
Pietersburg se sterk agterlyn het weer eens bewys dat daar nie met hulle gemors kan word nie.
Op 7 Maart kan dié manne weer gesien word by die Alpha Sand Rugbydag wat by die polisievelde agter die Peter Mokaba Stadion gehou word. Meer as 30 spanne gaan kompeteer en skitterrugby kan te wagte wees.

As iemand die naam Twente noem, sal min mense weet waarvan gepraat word. Word die naam Peter Bolink egter genoem, sal die meeste Polokwaniërs dié naam erken en weet wie dit is.
Oom Peter, soos wat die meeste mense hom ken, is 85 jaar gelede in dié plattelandse industriële gebied in die mees oostelike Nederlandse provinsie, Overijsel, in die dorp Nijverdal gebore. Sy vader was ‘n katoenwewer wat 53 jaar nougeset in dieselfde wewery gewerk het.

Hundreds of residents of Senwabarwana and surrounding areas in the Blouberg Municipality, took to the streets of Polokwane recently in a protest march against poor health services at the Helene Franz Hospital.
The march which culminated in the delivered of memoranda to Premier Sello Moloto, the Capricorn District Health Department and the provincial head office, was organised the Blouberg Development Management Committee (BDMC) led by Mr Frans Madibana, the organisation’s chairman and Mr Patrick Morata its secretary.
